Lloyd Alexander
was an American author born on January 30th, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died on May 17th, 2007 (aged 83) in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. He is the author of over 40 books, many of which are fiction. Among his many books include such famous series as the Chronicles of Prydain and the Westmark trilogy. He is considered by many fans and critics alike to be one of the greatest fantasy writers in history.

Lloyd Alexander passed away on May 17, 2007, two weeks after his wife died, and was buried in Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA. Alexander's last novel, The Golden Dream of Carlo Chuchio, was published in August 2007. "I have finished my life work," he said about the book before he died.
